MAY D- G COMPETITION GILLINGHAM, KENT

Gatwick Flyers had a fantastic day on Sunday at the recent D – G grading at Gillingham, Kent.

Our best result of the day, in terms of having another “National Performer”, was Emma Richardson, who finished in 1^st place in the U15 Girls Regional D category. Her team mates Emily Mills and Emily Tyson finished 6^th & 7^th respectively. The team earned themselves gold medal.

Suzanne Chester put in two great performances in the U15 girls regional E and finished in 1^st place and was rewarded with a trophy and a grading up place to D category. Well done. She now joins the others in her age group and forms a new team at D level.

Tasha Jardine had a great 1^st round in the U19 Girls regional D and was in clear first place, but after a wobbly start on her voluntary, she was unable to finish her second routine and ended up in 11^th place. Better luck next time.

Travis Coles came 2^nd place in his category, U15Boys g, and graded up to F.

Emily Chambers-Rolfe, still having some problems with her knees, came 10^th in the U13 girls F and was only .80 off grading up to the next level.

In the U15 boys regional F, Tim Stevens finished 2^nd place and was only 0.40 off grading up.

In the U19girls F the team of Rachel Grimstone (2^nd place), Hannah Milbourne (3^rd place) and Nicole Shipman (8^th place) got the gold medal. Both Rachel and Hannah graded up to the next level and will help form a strong team at the next level.

U19 girls E level, saw Laura Everton put in two strong routines and finished 4^th place overall but missed grading up.

Emily Gaunt in the U15 girls F finished in 6^th place and annoyingly missed grading up by 0.10. Nearly there!

Phoebe Daniel and Isabelle Jennings both went in the U13girls E grade. Phoebe finished in 5^th place and missed grading by .30 and Isabelle finished in 9^th place.

The club had a really great day with many podium finishers, performers grading up to the next level and teams winning gold medals!
